The latest RPG from Of Orcs and Men, Mars War Logs, and The Testament of Sherlock Holmes studio Spiders has been confirmed for the PlayStation 4.

According to the developer, Bound by Flame casts players as a mercenary who is possessed by a flame demon.

“As a victim of this demonic influence, players will have to choose between the powers offered by their host, or to keep their humanity, developing heroic talents instead,” said Spiders.

“Dangers and enemies, becoming more terrifying and fearsome in battle, will be temptations to acquire more power by giving up part of the hero's soul to the demon. Progression of the demonic influence will be reflected by the transformation of the hero's body.”

Choices made by the player will “give different scenarios and a different experience”, it added.

Bound by Flame will feature character creation, crafting, real-time battles, AI companions, and three distinct skill trees.

It's due out next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC
