The studio responsible for Borderlands and Aliens: Colonial Marines is working on two new games for next-generation consoles.
Gearbox referred to the two games during its panel at PAX Prime in Seattle. Speculation is rife that one of the games is the developer’s reimagining of the Brothers in Arms series.
During the panel, Gearbox added that beta access to one of the games could be secured by purchasing a virtual ticket to its “Community Day 2013”. The ticket provides access to a Twitch stream of the celebrations, and digital downloads of Homeworld HD and Homeworld 2 HD, when they’re released in 2014.
Gearbox’s performance has been mixed of late. The Borderlands franchise has gone from strength to strength, but Aliens: Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem: Forever were both critically mauled.
