Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, the next game by developer The Chinese Room is coming to the PlayStation 4, Sony has announced.
The Chinese Room is known best for its games Amnesia and Dear Esther. Set an hour before the Apocalypse, Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture shares many gameplay similarities with Dear Esther. Set in Shropshire, England, players control a trapped scientist and will have one hour to explore a world in which almost everyone has suddenly disappeared.
This is done by exploring and interacting with the objects, places and people found in the open world.
“There’s also a really cool thing you can do which makes the game really different and makes this process of exploring the story something you could only do in a game, but we’re keeping that secret for now,” teased the developers on the PlayStation blog.
Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture currently has no release date.
