Air New Zealand is offering a package deal on flights to Auckland for the Digital Nationz entertainment expo in September.

The Grabaseat getaway deal for $249 includes return flights from Wellington, Christchurch, Napier/Hastings, Nelson, or Palmerston North, a 2-day VIP pass to Digital Nationz, and an exclusive 3D-printed limited edition commemorative coin.

A 2-day VIP pass is worth $64, but they sold out on the first day and are no longer available to purchase through regular ticketing channels.

“It’s exciting to see the level of support we are getting for the show,” enthused Digital Nationz organiser Peter Hall. “This Grabaseat deal is yet another great reason for people from out of Auckland to experience the first chance at playing on next gen consoles and the many other activities already announced for the event.”

The Grabaseat deals are available starting today, in very limited numbers.

Digital Nationz has also announced it will hold casual LAN events for DotA 2 and StarCraft II to compliment the League of Legends tournament previously announced.

There will be unofficial prize tournaments for the two games, with prizing to be confirmed later.

Lastly, retailer EB Games has partnered with Digital Nationz and will give VIP ticket holders a 15% discount off anything purchased at the expo.
