Game Informer is reporting that retail giant Amazon is building its own game console that will run on Google’s Android platform.

“According to those we spoke with who have knowledge of the in-development hardware, Amazon will be leveraging the titles already available on its platform,” claims Game Informer.

Amazon currently supplies a range of Apps and Android devices, such as the Kindle Fire, points out the publication.

Game Informer further claims that Amazon intends to have the console available for purchase by Black Friday, 29th November, the largest retail day of the year in the US.
