Two-day VIP passes to the Digital Nationz entertainment expo sold out in their first day on sale, organisers have announced.

Digital Nationz was announced on Wednesday, and tickets to the event went on sale at 10:00am yesterday.

Organiser Peter Hall said he was "extremely happy and a bit stunned" to see the VIP passes sell out so quickly.

In response, Digital Nationz has added a bonus allocation of 50 further two-day VIP passes on sale today. "But we want this to be a true VIP experience," said Hall, "so once those are gone only single-day VIP passes will be available."

A two-day VIP pass costs $64 and entitles visitors to enter the expo one hour earlier each day, guaranteed seating at speaking sessions and Robot Wars, and access to a special VIP lounge.

Digital Nationz is coming to Auckland's Vector Arena on 28-29th September this year.
