The Lego Movie is getting a tie-in game, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games have announced.
In a scenario drawn from the film, The Lego Movie Videogame will put players into the role of Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average Lego figure who is mistakenly identified as the key to saving the world.
Players will guide him as he is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is “hopelessly and hilariously underprepared”, according to WBIE.
The game will feature a build mechanic triggered by the collection of Lego instruction pages, more than 90 characters inspired by the film, and 15 levels.
The Lego Movie Videogame will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, and Wii U next year.
