A couple of former Team Bondi developers have formed a new studio.

LA Noire design lead Alex Carlyle and Kelly Baigent – who worked on that game’s storyboarding – have set up a new independent developer called Intuitive Game Studios.

Baigent is also a veteran of New Zealand-based Tui Studios.

Intuitive will use contractors rather than hire full-time staff, said the pair.

“I really do want to stay in Australia and try and overcome the drive which is leading everyone to Canada or the like," Carlyle told MCV.

"I want to stay here and make games and hopefully be able to sustain a small studio, provide employment and jobs here.”

Team Bondi was acquired then closed by KMM Productions in late 2011. Many of its developers stayed on at KMM to work on Whore of the Orient, the future of which is looking uncertain.

Intuitive is yet to announce its first project.
