The development team behind hit ‘90s puzzle series The Incredible Machine has announced a spiritual successor by the name of Contraption Maker.
The Incredible Machine creators Jeff Tunnell, Kevin Ryan, and Brian Hahn have joined with Spotkin for a follow-up to their long-dormant Rube Goldberg machine building title.
According to Spotkin, the gameplay will be much the same: “Solve puzzles involving ridiculous chain reactions full of hamster motors, trampolines, alligators, cats, and so much more.
"Everything you loved about the original game is back and improved with a new physics engine, high definition art, and new parts and programmability.”
Contraption Maker will feature a powerful Maker Lab where the player may craft their own contraptions to share with the game’s community, as well as co-op play and mod support.
An early access (alpha) release is coming to Windows PC and Mac this winter.
