It looks likely that a new Gran Turismo title is on the way.

Sony has said that at a 15th anniversary celebration of the game, Polyphony Digital CEO and Gran Turismo producer Kazunori Yamauchi will “be making some exciting announcements about the future of the brand”.

The celebration will take place at the Silverstone circuit in the United Kingdom on May 16.

“The Gran Turismo franchise continues to be extremely important to PlayStation,” said SCEE president Jim Ryan.

“As well as experiencing the development of the franchise and comparing the virtual and real, it will be a pleasure to see Yamauchi-san and hear what’s next for Gran Turismo.”
