World of Tanks is coming to mobile platforms, Wargaming has announced.

World of Tanks Blitz is a free-to-play mobile action game built specifically for tablets and smartphones that allows seven-versus-seven battles.

Blitz will feature several nations including the USA, Germany, and the USSR, as well as a roster of vehicles that includes medium tanks, heavy tanks, and tank destroyers, each with their own unique qualities.

It will be playable on a wide array of Android and iOS devices,

"With World of Tanks Blitz we're doing our best to give players a gaming experience that would rival anything they could find on a console," said Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi.

"We've always been committed to bringing World of Tanks to new platforms and we're excited to give players a chance to experience the game in a whole new way."

Wargaming also recently announced World of Tanks Generals, a browser based trading card game set in the World of Tanks universe.
