A third Army of Two game is coming next March, EA has announced.
Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel will take place in Mexico, and will have “a more intense, mature and grittier tone” according to developers Visceral Games (Dead Space).
“We wanted to refresh the Army of Two franchise for a new generation of action gamers, and at the same time, stay true to the core concept that really made the first two games fan favorites,” said executive producer Julian Beak.
Army of Two was “a franchise we feel has always had a lot of potential,” said Visceral GM Steve Papoutsis.
The game will feature online and split-screen co-op, weapon and player customisation, and destructible environments courtesy of the Frostbite 2 engine.
The Devil's Cartel will be available in March 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
