Xbox gamers will soon have a chance to see what all the fuss is about as PC phenomenon Minecraft is coming to Xbox Live Arcade.

The port is being developed by creator Mojang alongside 4JStudios, whose previous Xbox Live Arcade releases include Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark.

Minecraft XBLA will feature a new crafting interface, a full tutorial mode, and split-screen multiplayer over Xbox Live.

The game will cost 1600 Microsoft Points – approximately NZD $26.40 – and will be released on May 10.
