The Creative Assembly has apparently informed website VE3D that the next instalment in the Total War series will be announced at in the weeks ahead at E3.
The series is shelving gun powder for the time being and focusing instead on an earlier era.
"Let’s just say that the new PC-only game eschews the gunpowder weaponry of recent Total War titles and gets back to basics," says the website.
