Frozenbyte has announced the development of Trine 2, a physics-based action platformer with cooperative online multiplayer.

The sequel takes the first game's characters -(knight, rogue and wizard) and puts them into a newly designed game set to feature more action, more puzzles, and the introduction of online support for the series's cooperative 3-person gameplay.

Trine 2 is currently scheduled for release later this year via digital distribution.
