We've already taken a look at the primary Greek gods of Age of Mythology so it's time to move to a slightly cooler climate and size up the Norse deities.
Odin
Odin is the leader (and father of some) of the Norse gods. He's a bit more of a sombre character than Zeus. Death, war, wisdom and poetry are his fields of expertise. He was accompanied by two ravens who kept him informed of what was abreast in the world. These information gathering birds also make an appearance in the game.
God Power: Odin can increase animal populations by using his Great Hunt ability
Thor
Many of you should be familiar with Thor as his appearance has been fairly common in the world of videogames. Thor is a hammer wielding scrapper who was quick to anger but generally worked for the forces of good. Players who choose to worship Thor will find that their Dwarves will be much more useful!
God Power: Thor can use his influence with those industrious little dwarves to create a gold mine anywhere on the map.
Loki
If there was a god everyone loved to hate it would be Loki. Loki was a trickster God who would alternate between being lovably mischievous and downright evil. He also had mastery over fire. His secretive and sneaky ways are translated to the favours he grants to those who choose to worship him.
God Power: Loki can secretly view through the eyes of an enemy unit.
The rest of the Norse gods who are expected to make an appearance in Age of Mythology are on show at the official site. Check it out now.
