Set two hundred years after Oblivion, in Skyrim you play one of the last living Dovahkiin (Dragonborn), and must fend off the dragon god Alduin and save the land of Skyrim from destruction. At E3 we spoke to the lead producer, Craig Lafferty, about what's changed from previous Elder Scrolls games.
I particularly like that Beth won't bother with DLC till after the game is complete, hopefully that means there isn't dummied out premium content on the disc that you need to pay to unlock straight away or later.
After seeing a few Skyrim interviews it's getting really annoying to hear the rote answers...
Makes it much easier to pick out the BS though, of what they're not answering or trying to gloss over.
Imo they're walking a fine line with simplifying the game already, good on GP for mentioning it. Developers aren't gonna stop watering games down till they get pressured the other way.
It's fine if they replace something with another to try something better, but when they just plain cut down on stuff it seems lazy.

Unless you dont enjoy RPG's without being a spear-wielding magician who levitates from place to place wearing medium armour and fussing over his greaves and chestplates, I dont really see what the big deal is.
Imagine levitation battles with dragons. That would be mad cool, if a bit broken.
AKA too much for them to code? I do think it is asking a bit too much of them though.
I'm fine with them leaving out medium armour, I think it's a valid point they make about differentiating between heavy and light armour more. Mixing and matching heavy and light pieces is similar enough.
Reducing the amount of armour pieces to four - four! - Is just simplifying though. I think Fable had more.
Typical bullshit from Beth tbh. They are far more interested in selling as many copies as possible over actually making a decent RPG. They now aim at non rpgers and dumb pricks looking for an action game. I bet when TES VI drops it will be essentially a FPS fantasy action game and nothing more. And I am sure the moronic smacktards will lap it up.

The lack of a demo is disappointing but not surprising. Although I dont see why they couldnt use one of the promotional demos being paraded around at E3 etc. The too hard/not representative bollocks is just that. Bollocks. I mean they have a working demo that is used to represent the game after all.
For those of us who dont suck at the tit of the Beth and actually want to see how it plays before forking out any funds are disadvantaged.
