An amazing RPG that sets some new heights with very little to criticise. An great story coupled with fantastic characters and lots of replay value make Dragon Age: Origins easily the best RPG of the last few years.

Dragon Age: Origins Witch Hunt trailer

BioWare has released a trailer for its upcoming downloadable supplement to Dragon Age: Origins, called Witch Hunt. For the first time, a downloadable content pack for the game will advance the main storyline, describing events after the fall of the Archdemon.

More Dragon Age: Origins DLC

BioWare has announced a new downloadable content pack for Dragon Age: Origins, this time advancing the game’s story beyond the fall of the Archdemon at the boxed game’s conclusion.

The downloadable content pack will cost 560 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, 560 BioWare Points on PC and USD $6.99 on PlayStation Network. It’s due on the 7th of September.

Warning: There’s a minor spoiler beyond this fold.

BioWare has detailed the next downloadable content pack for Dragon Age: Origins, first teased at Comic-Con. Entitled the Golems of Amgarrak, the DLC will be an advanced challenge for experienced players. In spite of earlier suggestions to the contrary, the DLC does have a storyline.

Speaking with website MMORPG, BioWare’s senior designer Rob Bartel says, “You have come to Orzammar at the request of Jerrik Dace. Jerrik’s brother led an expedition into the Deep Roads to find Amgarrak and the long-lost secrets of golem construction.

“The rediscovery of such a method would bring great wealth, power and prestige to House Dace but the expedition has not returned and is now feared lost.

More Dragon Age: Origins DLC coming

1UP reports from Comic-Con that new Dragon Age: Origins downloadable content is in the works at BioWare.

The DLC is to be set exclusively in an unnamed dungeon. Designed for high level characters it will not involve any storytelling, instead promoting challenging combat and the use of character tactics against “hordes of enemies.”

No details around date or pricing were mentioned.

BioWare has released some details around its upcoming downloadable content pack for Dragon Age: Origins.

The game’s official site reads, “You now fight as the Darkspawn! The city of Denerim, jewel of Ferelden, girds itself for war. As a hurlock vanguard, you alone hold the power to make thralls of your fellow Darkspawn and drive them into the heat of battle. Heed the archdemon's call--Denerim must burn!”

The DLC is dated for the 18th of May. BioWare has released three screenshots, which you can find below.

Electronic Arts have today announced that BioWare’s Dragon Age: Origins is their most socially popular title.

DragonAge.com has set a new record for traffic within the EA network and BioWare’s social network now has more than five million members.

New Dragon Age DLC announced

BioWare have announced today that new downloadable content for Dragon Age: Origins will be available this holiday season on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

The package, called “Return to Ostagar”, will see the Grey Wardens revisiting the battlefield where King Cailan fell in order to reclaim their honour, uncover the betrayed king’s secret political agenda and to loot his armour - the wearing of which will no doubt exonerate the Grey Wardens once and for all of any suspicion of complicity in his death.

Dragon Age Journeys launched

BioWare today announced that the first chapter of Dragon Age Journeys, a free to play browser based game set in the Dragon Age world, is now available.

Dragon Age Journeys puts players in the role of a hero exploring the underground dwarven kingdom of Orzammar. Players will uncover a plot that threatens to unleash a great evil that won’t stop until it destroys all living things. Journeys is based on the upcoming fantasy title Dragon Age: Origins. Players of Dragon Age Journeys will also have the chance to earn exclusive in game content for Dragon Age: Origins on the day of its release.

Dragon Age Journeys is now available free to players at the official site, and more information is available at www.dragonage.com.
