Rockstar has announced that the final downloadable content pack for Red Dead Redemption, Myths and Mavericks, will be released on the 13th of September.
“This completely free Bonus Pack DLC is our token of appreciation for all the amazing Red Dead fans out there especially those who are keeping online multiplayer as busy and as fun as ever, (especially when we turn on the extra XP)”, writes Rockstar.
Myths and Mavericks will include a swathe of new characters from the singleplayer story including Landon Ricketts and Javier Esquella, as well as a significant number of new multiplayer locations:
Rockstar Games has announced the final downloadable content pack for its Western epic, Red Dead Redemption.
Called Myths and Mavericks, the DLC will feature new “fan-favourite” multiplayer characters such as the retired gunslinger Landon Ricketts, as well as new multiplayer locations for Deathmatch, Grab the Bag and Gang matches.
The Myths and Mavericks pack will be free, and is intended as “as a show of appreciation for the awesome long-term support for the game's multiplayer modes since its release in 2010,” writes Rockstar on the game’s official website.
Rockstar has confirmed that more downloadable content is in the works for the award-winning Western, Red Dead Redemption.
When asked by a fan over Twitter whether any new Red Dead Redemption DLC would arrive, Rockstar replied, “Look for release date and details in the coming weeks.”

Three in-game bonuses which were previously available only to people who pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption from particular retailers will be made available for anyone to purchase on Xbox Live and PSN shortly.
Each item will cost 80 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live or AUD $1.32 (approximately NZD $1.80) on PlayStation Network. Look for them to start appearing for download from today, Tuesday, 12th April. "They should be fully available across all territories on both platforms within 24-48 hours thereafter based on the networks' respective update cycles," Rockstar stated.
The company has apologised to players for the delay in making the items available as DLC, claiming "there were some unanticipated technical delays," and reassured players that pre-order bonuses from the upcoming L.A. Noire "should become available as DLC much, much sooner."
Rockstar has announced they will be releasing a free downloadable content pack for Red Dead Redemption as a token of their appreciation to the game’s fans.
Called the Hunting and Trading Outfits packs, the DLC includes two new outfits and associated challenges. Rockstar has also added the elusive Jackalope, the fabled frontier critter that looks like jack rabbit with the horns of an antelope.
Additionally, the Hunting and Trading pack will include a compatibility update so that players who do not have either the Legends and Killers pack or the Liars and Cheats pack can see other players who are using character skins from them.
Rockstar have today released an overview of the upcoming "Liars and Cheats Pack" DLC for Red Dead Redemption.
The Liars and Cheats Pack, due for release on September 21, focuses on expanding the Free Roam multiplayer experience as well as adding new modes to Competitive Multiplayer.
The DLC will contain a range of new features to expand the Free Roam world, including Multiplayer Poker and Liar’s Dice, as well as a brand new Competitive Multiplayer gameplay mode.
Red Dead Redemption is a Western epic, set at the turn of the 20th century when the lawless and chaotic badlands began to give way to the expanding reach of government and the spread of the Industrial Age. A follow up to the 2004 hit Red Dead Revolver, this game tells the story of former outlaw John Marston, taking players on a great adventure across the American frontier.
Red Dead Redemption features an open-world environment for players to explore, including frontier towns, rolling prairies teaming with wildlife, and perilous mountain passes - each packed with an endless flow of varied distractions.
