GTA Episodes From Liberty City: A Weazel News Special Report

360 TRAILER by Simon Garner 18 Sep 2009, 5:09 pm
This new trailer for Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City focuses on the city itself and the changes that have been going on rather than the protagonists-to-be: Tony Prince and Luis Lopez.

In this Weazel news exclusive, Weazel’s crack team of investigative reporters and former lobbyists cut through the filter of the mainstream media to find the paranoia behind the truth to a recent string of attacks in Liberty City, which has forced LCPD into an escalating arms race. Our Weazel News expert demonstrates these fearsome new weapons including sticky bombs, advanced sniper rifles, automatic shotguns and exploding bullets; while recently discovered footage from a Liberty City tourist appears to show a rocket-equipped military grade helicopter known only as ‘The Buzzard’ wreaking havoc in Liberty City airspace.

GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony

The great thing about episodic content is that you get to listen to your audience and fine tune your releases to accommodate their wishes.

The final episode in the Grand Theft Auto IV legacy, The Ballad of Gay Tony, does just that. In the original game, Niko's access to Liberty City was somewhat limited based on his meagre lifestyle. Johnny in The Lost And Damned was again firmly below the ranks of the wealthy and influential. Where both former protagonists essentially worked to achieve fame and fortune, Gay Tony places you in the A-list immediately, with access to pretty much anything you want.

You play as Luis Fernando Lopez, bodyguard to the eccentric and wealthy Tony Prince, who just happens to own the best nightclubs in Liberty City. Eagle-eyed viewers will remember Luis from a certain bank robbery mission in the original game.

THE LOST AND DAMNED

Johnny is a veteran member of The Lost, a notorious biker gang. Johnny has been creating business opportunities for The Lost in Liberty City, but his first loyalty must be to the patch he wears on his back and to Billy Grey, the club's President. However, when Billy returns from rehab hell-bent on bloodshed and debauchery, Johnny finds himself in the middle of a vicious turf war with rival gangs for control of a city torn apart by violence and corruption. Can the brotherhood survive?

THE BALLAD OF GAY TONY

Grand Theft Auto IV's second downloadable episode injects Liberty City with an overdose of guns, glitz, and grime. As Luis Lopez, part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince (aka "Gay Tony"), players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price.
