Ubisoft's Rocksmith 2014 Edition is being remastered and re-released three years after its launch, without a change in title.

The remaster will bring new menus, additional practice tools, a customisable learning curve, and statistic tracking to the rhythm game and teaching tool.

In addition, the package will include six bonus songs:

Bob Marley & The Wailers - Three Little Birds
Elvis Presley - Suspicious Minds
FUN - Some Nights”
Jackson 5 - I Want You Back
Outkast - Hey Ya!
Train - Drops of Jupiter

Existing Rocksmith 2014 owners will gain access to the new features via a free update, but will have to purchase the six bonus songs separately.

Originally released in November 2013, Rocksmith 2014 Edition was a total replacement for the earlier Rocksmith.

Both titles allow players to plug in real guitars and learn to play via onscreen graphics and gamified teaching methods.

Three years into its release, the game now boasts over 800 downloadable songs for training and play, from Bach to Queens of the Stone Age.

Rocksmith 2014 Edition: Remastered releases in October 4th for new-gen consoles and PC; no guitar is included.
