A distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack has disrupted the launch of Battlefield Hardline on Xbox One, reports publisher EA.
The game launched in the UK yesterday. Almost immediately, Xbox One users reported connection difficulties.
EA reported shortly thereafter that it was combating a DDoS attack.
We’ve identified the connectivity issues on Xbox One are due to DDoS attack and working to resolve. Apologies for the inconvenience.

The incident recalled the spectre of Battlefield 4's launch woes, but the incident appears to be isolated. Battlefield Hardline appears to be working smoothly on other platforms.
Battlefield Hardline launches in New Zealand tomorrow on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
