Bungie's much anticipated shared-world shooter Destiny will run at 1080p on Xbox One when it releases in September.
However, the game's beta will not run at 1080p, claims fansite Destiny Blog, reporting on an IGN Live segment.
Running Destiny at 1080p on Xbox One has only been made possible after Microsoft released a new software development kit (SDK) that freed up 10 percent more GPU power that was previously reserved for Kinect.
Both Destiny and the Destiny beta will run at 1080p on PlayStation 4.
The Destiny beta will begin at 5am on July 24 for Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. It starts tomorrow at 5am for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 owners, and will finish for all platforms at 6:59pm on July 28.
Destiny is set for release September 9.
