A developer who attempted to auction a Durango development kit on eBay has claimed the police have paid him a visit.

The man, known only by his Twitter name "SuperDaE", has tweeted that he has been visited by seven to eight police and an FBI agent due to the auction.

His Durango auction closed today with a top bid of AU$50,100.

"Police raided me," tweeted SuperDaE. “I find it hilarious how the warrant only really mentions ‘Microsoft’, ‘eBay’, ‘Paypal’.”

SuperDaE is the source of many of the next-gen Xbox rumours, including those around its built-in Kinect 2.0 sensor and mandatory game installations.
