Cuba’s state-owned media has rounded on Call of Duty: Black Ops, saying it glorifies assassination and will turn American youths into sociopaths. The first level of the game is set in the months leading up to the botched Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba and depicts a failed assassination attempt on Fidel Castro.

Cuban website Cubadebate says, “This new video game is doubly perverse. On the one hand, it glorifies the illegal assassination attempts the United States government planned against the Cuban leader ... and on the other, it stimulates sociopathic attitudes in North American children and adolescents.

“What the United States couldn't accomplish in more than 50 years, they are now trying to do virtually.”

The Cuban government contends that the CIA has plotted or attempted to assassinate Castro 638 times.
