New Indiegogo campaign designed to harass Valve into making Half-Life 3 Two avid Half-Life fans have started a new crowdfunding campaign designed to coerce Valve into creating and releasing a third game in the series.

Bungie outlines changes coming to Destiny's Vault of Glass Bungie is planning changes to Destiny's ultimate PvE encounter, which will make the experience more challenging.

The final boss in Destiny's first Raid is called Atheon. In the final phase of the encounter Atheon teleports the three players furthest from it into secondary areas on Venus and Mars. The most common strategy employed by raiders is for three select players to ensure they're the furthest from the boss when it uses its "Timestream" teleporting ability.

"The encounter goal for Atheon is to act as a climax and the culmination of learning for a given Raid group," said Bungie community manager David "DeeJ" Dague. "Part of that is making sure that each player in your group can perform every job as required.

Skylanders: Trap Team review Skylanders: Trap Team is packed full of clever ideas and sharp design. It's well presented and well executed, but be warned: if you let your guard down, it'll also crit your credit card for massive damage.

Skylanders: Trap Team doesn't reinvent the franchise that first brought toys to life in a videogame, but it does mark a significant departure for the series by introducing a second element into the mix: the titular traps.

It's easy to assume that the sudden introduction of traps as a reaction to Disney’s Infinity games - which themselves allow players to bring an almost confusing array of plastic heroes into the virtual environment - but in practice their addition to Skylanders feels like a logical and comprehensible extension to the system that previous entries in the series established.

If you’re not familiar with Skylanders, the basic premise is simple enough. In addition to the game software, there’s also a “Portal” device you connect to your console. Placing real plastic Skylanders toys (each of which are sold separately, of course) onto the Portal puts a videogame version of that same toy into the game. You can swap them any time and you’ll need to mix and match their various abilities to get the most out of the experience.

Ubisoft briefly considered creating Far Cry 3.5 Ubisoft briefly considered creating a direct sequel to Far Cry 3 that would be set on the same island, continue Jason's story, and even bring Vaas back.

On Ubisoft's blog, executive producer Dan Hay told senior communications manager Gary Steinman that the idea lasted only a few days before it was scrapped as the developer didn't want to create "Far Cry 3.5".

“We definitely had the option of making a 3.5, of making a choice to just stay in the same location with the same characters,” said Hay. “We talked about the idea of taking Jason’s story and growing it, maybe figuring out a way to bring Vaas back.

The Evil Within review The Evil Within is a fine example of classic survival horror, but it's held back a little by some stiff characterisation and flat story beats.

Being a cop in Krimson City is a tough job. Not only is the crime rate high, but there’s every chance that responding to your everyday mental hospital massacre will result in being trapped in compounding nightmare realities populated by homicidal monstrosities. Get some better work stories indeed.

Welcome to the seriously tough day at the office for Detective Sebastian Castellanos that is The Evil Within, the new title from survival horror legend Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil series. The Evil Within is the first survival horror game Mikami has created in nearly a decade. His last entry was 2005’s widely acknowledged classic Resident Evil 4.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS review Super Smash Bros. makes the leap to 3DS with aplomb. Its deep, addictive combat makes it the best fighting game on the system.

Few things on Earth match the sheer feeling of superiority when one drops a Falcon Punch directly into an opponent’s face. For many players of Nintendo’s smash (ahaa) hit Smash Bros. series, Captain Falcon exists solely in the world of the charge-up-and-beat-‘em-up. Anyone who pauses to reflect on his role in the F-Zero franchise will likely be rocketed from the stage by Charizard frantically brandishing a haunted hammer.

It’s inescapable, Super Smash Bros. reigns as one of the most energetic, playable, and infuriatingly addictive games on any platform. Now in its fourth (and soon-to-be fifth) incarnation, the game is available on a portable platform in the shape of the 3DS, but can it hold a Fire Flower to its ancestors?

In what feels like a clear play to be a flagship title (after all, it’s being released on Wii U and 3DS near-simultaneously) nearly every bell and whistle Bandai Namco and Sora Ltd. could cram into a cart is present. Virtually every mode supports up to four players via local wireless or online, and the game is jam-packed with little touches such as custom background music selections, a trophy case system, and a repository of tips. The interface is slick and responsive, and the whole thing is dripping with polish.

Football Manager 2015 improvements and release date detailed Football Manager 2015 will be released on November 7 for Windows, Mac, and Linux, Sports Interactive has announced.

According to the developer, the game will feature a huge number of improvements and enhancements over its predecessors, and seeks to make the experience of managing a club more personal and customisable.

The game now asks the player to decide on the type of manager that they want to be, ranging from a ‘tracksuit manager’ who spends much of their time on the training ground dealing directly with the players, to a ‘tactical manager’ who spends more time concentrating on tactics and player recruitment.
