Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 6 is in full development and scheduled for release November 20th on Xbox 360 and PS3, with a Windows version to follow.
I just don't understand how they hope to build up any sort of suspense or horror when you're a super human capable of destroying waves of zombies with your bare hands. It's just so far detached from what Resident Evil once was.
the first couple movies were decent, after that it went downhill and the last one... I'd like to find the people who made the last one(afterlife) and set them on fire... that's how terrible it is.

haha, amen to that. The next one sounds even worse though.
I found the 5th to be quite fun, playing it co op. Don't think I would've finished it if I had been playing with the AI though. Dunno about that trailer though, I'd like to see more horror elements rather than action.
Bits with leon look awesome, its like traditional horror RE but with good mechanics. Looks like zombies but with more 28 days later characteristics. And no crossbow firing cult members.
Bits with Chris look kind of meh, action game stuff. But I guess since you are fighting actual people with guns, not the retardation from re5, it looks better.
Capcom UK's head of marketing, Dave Turner, pointed out to MCV ahead of the Resident Evil 6 reveal that action-focused Resident Evil 5 is in fact the series' biggest seller, and even revealed aspirations to attract Call of Duty players.
Asked why the series has taken a more action-focussed stance - specifically with Operation Raccoon City - Turner said:
"We've seen the popularity of Resident Evil increase massively as the series became more action oriented - Resident Evil 5 is the biggest seller in the series. So, it makes sense for us to follow this action area more fully."
He added of Operation Raccoon City: "The dream would be that the millions of Call of Duty fans that are enjoying these fast-paced online games are attracted to this Resident Evil." http://www.computerandvideogames.co...ute-makes-sense
