Tim Schafer is a legend, if this is as good as Full Throttle then it will be awesome.

Full Throttle was one of the best adventure games of its time. Hoping this will live up to it.

No, full throttle didn't have hookers. If LSL came out at the same time it would have been a tough call which was best.

This was the best news since the game was announced. RJD is an icon of metal for sure, but his singing voice is bafflingly overrated and being a good singer does NOT mean you will be any good at voice acting, Jack Black is obviously an actor and supposedly Halford has exception voicework talent and I don't know about you but I would much prefer good voice acting over big named voice acting. Now if they'll just get rid of Ozzy and get someone who can string a sentence together I will be happy.

I'm not sure what to think about Brutal Legend, the concept is quite frankly completely retarded but Schafer is not known for making games any less than brilliant.

Dio's as metal as they come. He's 4 foot nothing of pure, unadulterated METAL.

But personally, I wonder what Jack Black's take on it is - he's a massive Dio fan.

I also am a fan of Dio, so I'll assume that you meant to say that you worship the ground he walks on, rather than that other, less kind thing.

Oh dude, don't get me wrong I like Dio, he is a fantastic singer and a metal icon however that doesn't mean he should be voicing characters in videogames. Tim Curry is fantastic though, and I would prefer to have really good voice acting as opposed to big names who may or may not be any good.

I had a good go on this game, the voices/style play a significant role in making it more than an average beat 'em up.

FUN CITY

I'm not sure why you think the concept is retarded. At a gameplay level there doesn't appear to be anything radical, and the setting is an homage rather than anything original. It's certainly not the kind of game that most companies would make (unfortunately) but that's part of the appeal.

I think that i'd be more excited about this game if it wasn't so celebrity-focused. Jack Black's act has gotten stale.

Grim Fandango was one of my favourite games ever though so i'll probably end up playing it

Has anyone played the demo yet? I'd love to hear impressions, I can't download it yet because I'm on a XBL Silver account now (which I won't be renewing any time soon. What a waste of money a 12-month Gold subscription was in regards to my gaming habits.) and I can't be arsed bothering with PSN's slow transfer speeds thanks to my PS3 relying upon wifi.

Tried it on PS3, bit too early to give anything of depth but briefly - I loved it.

Would be Jack Blacks better performance
Graphic style is awesome, technically graphics themselves are fairly average but decent
Great humour, especially if you fit into the gen of the character but can be enjoyed by anyone
Fairly standard gameplay mechanics and conventions but it doesn't detract from the fun
Vehicles are actually enjoyable (which I find rare)
Maybe the weakest part is some of the character animations
Demo doesn't show any of the open world concept and is linear, so you don't get to see how that'll work.

Loved full Throttle but was going to give this a miss as I have a lot of games lined up. After playing the demo it'll be a purchase though, it has a unique atmosphere and is great fun even if it isn't ground breaking. It does however do what it does well and mixes things together nicely - the solos, driving and combat while borrowed are fun. Add in the good humour and a character you can get into and it's a win for me. Eddie Riggs rocks.

Oh, and it was downloaded on PS3 through wifi with no speed issues whatsoever.

God those screenshots look great. I really love the art style.

Was not looking forward to this at all, but after seeing this I may be keen to rent.

Yeah the demo was fun, some of the transitions where a little jarring, but overall good. Music of course was Fantastic.

Took me way to long to work out the gate!

Already Pre-ordered, looking forward to it.
