The "inFAMOUS free running team" will be at Aotea Square in Auckland this Saturday, for a promotional event to celebrate the launch of PS3-exclusive inFAMOUS, Sony Computer Entertainment NZ has announced.

Free running is a style of urban acrobatics, derived from parkour - it is the practice of freedom of movement and creativity with the aim of moving from one point to another as smoothly, efficiently and quickly as possible.

Cole, the main character in inFAMOUS, has the ability to free run, and Sony's team of athletes will be bringing Cole's super-human abilities to life. "Think flips, kicks, jumps and spins, these guys are the real deal!" the Sony announcement exclaims.

Spectators will have the opportunity to try out the game, as well as win inFAMOUS spot prizes.

If you want to check out the inFAMOUS free running team and see if the real thing is as good as the game, the (free) event will be from 1-2pm at Aotea Square (or in case of rain - a strong possibility - at AUT, The Quad, 55 Wellesley St East), Saturday 13 June.
