I like the whole "the way you race determines what you unlock" thing it has going for it.

I also thought Mel did a pretty good job at interviewing too. Like JC and Tom French, it wasn't planned that there would be an interview, it just sort of happened and worked out quite well, imo.

Poor guy sounds like he has given that speech too many times for his throat to handle.

Some nice information though.

He thought LOTR was possibly made in Aussie, that sucks lol.

EDIT: Very nice for an unplanned interview-esque thingy.

His throat is going to be nailed by the end of that day. Now I hope this NFS isn't awful like the last one, it has done nothing but go down hill for awhile this series.

This actually looks promising. I really hope its good. I really do.

NFS lately has been a crap fest. Undercover I haven't bothered.

Yeah from what I heard a while ago, EA has woken up to this fact and are trying to 'reboot' the series, splitting it into three separate branches under the NFS name, each of which will have a 2-year (rather than 1-year previously) development cycle. Shift is meant to be the 'hardcore' sim-oriented game, ditching the Undercover/Pursuit-style gameplay altogether, in favour of a more Forza-like experience.

They have some of the right people to do that as well - it's being developed by Slightly Mad Studios, who are comprised largely of former devs from SimBin (makers of GTR).

(The other two branches of NFS will be "Nitro" which is an arcade racer for Wii & DS, and "World Online" which will be a free online PC racer.)

Can't wait tbh _b

Looks pretty decent if you ask me. I haven't enjoyed an NFS title since Most Wanted but maybe this'll sway me...

Graphics look nice too. Will be getting this for PC, HD on consoles is fail :(

Apart from the car doing a barrel roll (somewhat unnaturally) and Mel driving as if its her first time I can't wait to test it. Haven't bothered with NFS since the last one made my eyes bleed.

Im most definitely down for the 2 year development cycle _b
What got me interested was the fact that former dev's from SimBin are contributing to it - If its anything close to GTR-2, Race07 etc, Im in the stores for a hardcopy!
Anyways, was kinda disappointed that theres no Toyota Supra or Honda NSX - Oh well, still a good list of cars.

Any word on a demo?
Ive got the itch to test drive this game - Could be one of the best NFS installments! :D
