Star Wars Battlefront is approaching its first anniversary, and EA today announced a number of events to round out the game's content schedule.

The game's final DLC pack, Rogue One: Scarif, drops on December 6th, a week and change ahead of the Star Wars spinoff's December 16th cinematic release.

It will include four maps set on the new tropical planet Scarif, as well as new hero Jyn Erso (played by Felicity Jones in the film) and villain Orson Krennic (Aussie actor Ben Mendelsohn).

The long-awaited PlayStation VR X-Wing mission will launch the same day, available for free for any PSVR-enabled Battlefront owners.

Additionally, Battlefront players can play all three previous expansions (Outer Rim, Bespin, and Death Star) for free through this weekend, while earning quadruple score.

A sequel to Battlefront is due in 2017 alongside the theatrical release of Star Wars: Episode VIII, featuring situations and characters from the new films.
