Uncharted 4 will launch for PlayStation 4 on March 18, 2016, Naughty Dog has announced.

You can see details of the game's Special Edition, Libertalia Collector’s Edition, and Digital Deluxe Edition on PlayStation Blog.

The game is set three years after the events of Uncharted 3, and finds Nathan Drake retired and settled into a normal life with his wife Elena Fisher. However, his world is turned upside down when his older brother Sam, long believed dead, suddenly appears seeking his help.

"With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure,” said Naughty Dog.

“His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he's willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves."

Sam is an AI character only, and works in a similar way as Ellie from The Last of Us, although he is stronger and more capable.

Naughty Dog has promised that combat will be more dynamic than before, and that the game’s character models are close to movie quality.

The character model for Drake has twice the number of polygons of Joel from The Last of Us, for example.

The game’s single player component will run at 30fps, while Naughty Dog is targeting the 60fps for the multiplayer.
