Open-world third-person shooter Tom Clancy's The Division won't be out until late next year, says Ubisoft.

The news came during Ubisoft’s first quarter sales call today, wherein it also mentioned an early 2014 release for online multiplayer racing title The Crew.

The company also told investors to expect more open world titles.

At its E3 unveiling, Ubisoft's Sweden-based studio Massive Entertainment called The Division an "online open-world action role-playing game".

The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 title is set in New York three weeks after a lethal virus, released on what Americans call Black Friday, has swept through the city.
