Electronic Arts and Crytek revealed today that Hans Zimmer has contributed to the score of the soon-to-be-released Crysis 2.
Recognized worldwide for his work on films such as “Inception” and “The Dark Knight”, Zimmer and his team worked with the existing composers Borislav Slavov and Tilman Sillescu to create the score for Crysis 2, seting the tone for the game’s backdrop of a devastated New York City in 2023.
“I was drawn to Crysis 2 because of Crytek’s passion for the project and the world they created,” said Hans Zimmer. “And I am very happy with the outcome of our collaboration.”
You'll be able to check out his handiwork when Crysis 2 releases on March 25th in New Zealand. PlayStation 3 owners have a head start however, the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo is available from PlayStation Network right now.
