Injustice: Gods Among Us won’t exclude players from multiplayer matches because they don’t have the requisite DLC, NetherRealm has said.

Instead, the game will push DLC content to all players whether it is purchased or not, although obviously characters not paid for will not be able to be used, just fought against.

“We’re coming up with a great automated system to make sure I can use my character against anybody and everything’s compatible,” said studio boss Ed Boon.

Further, all DLC would be downloadable, said Boon, referring to the furore earlier this year when Capcom’s Street Fighter X Tekken shipped with locked DLC on the game disc.

Injustice: Gods Among Us launches in 2013.
