Despite a 9pm embargo time set by Blizzard Entertainment, EB Games New Zealand has released its stock of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm to retail customers.

As a result, retailers including JB Hi-Fi, Mighty Ape and more are now selling World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. In spite of the breach, players will be unable to play the game until the servers go live at 9pm NZDT.

Blizzard traditionally guard their embargoes very closely, however it seems unlikely given EB Games' buying power that there will be any repercussions for the retailer.
