Hardcore twin-stick shooter Helldivers is coming to PC via Steam in December.

Helldivers is a co-op title for up to four locally or online, and has players defending Super Earth against the enemies of mankind in an intense intergalactic war.

The Steam release will include the game’s Masters of the Galaxy, Turning up the Heat, and Democracy Strikes Back expansions.

"We have done our very best to ensure that the game will feel as good as possible when played on PC," said Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Johan Pilestedt.

"With a wide range of graphic options, rebindable keys and an added text chat, we hope that we will meet the expectations which players have of a PC title."

A former PlayStation exclusive, Helldivers will be published on Steam by the now-defunct PlayStation Mobile, a platform used to get PlayStation games on mobile devices like the Vita and Android smartphones.

"It’s a nifty and unique title, and one definitely worthy of investigation for fans of multiplayer, shooters, and the out-of-the-box thinking Arrowhead Game Studios," wrote Gameplanet's Alan Bell in his review of Helldivers on PS4.
