Dying Light’s Be the Zombie mode will now be made available to all players for free, Techland has announced.
The mode, which allows a player to control certain zombies in the game and attack others online, was originally a pre-order-only bonus.
However, Techland has announced that physical copies of Dying Light have been delayed a month in regions outside of North America, and so by way of apology, it will gift the mode to everyone for free.
"Although the changes affect only the release of boxed copies in certain territories, we want to show all of you our appreciation for your continued support," the studio said in a statement. "Thus, we’re really happy to announce that 'Be the Zombie' will be available for free to everyone, on all platforms, in all territories."
Digital copies of Dying Light will be available from tomorrow on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC. Physical copies of the game will release in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia on February 27.
Those who preorder the physical edition will get the Cuisine & Cargo and Ultimate Survivor Bundle DLC packs for free.
