Big Pharma is an upcoming business sim for PC that looks to skewer the pharmaceutical industry.

In development at two-man Bristol studio Twice Circled, Big Pharma is a business sim and logistics puzzle that somewhat resembles Theme Hospital.

The pitch:

As the head of your own Pharmaceutical Conglomerate you have this power resting in your hands. Will you use it for good? Being totally altruistic may not be the best business plan. The uncomfortable truth (is there an ointment for that?) is that some remedies are more profitable than others and illness is good for business.

Welcome to Big Pharma, where you can make a fortune and still maintain a healthy conscience. Or can you?

Big Pharma promises a progression system that will take players from running reconditioned machines that produce cheap generic treatments for minor ailments, to overseeing labs with tech that’s at the bleeding edge of world-changing drug design.

Rival corporations will try to beat the player out of the industry, and a dynamically shifting marketplace will keep the player on his or her toes.

Big Pharma is being published by Democracy and Gratuitous Space Battles studio Positech Games, and is due out next year on PC.
