Platformer/RPG hybrid Child of Light will release on April 30 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and Windows PC, Ubisoft has announced.
Set in a magical world called Lemuria, Child of Light is a mash-up of platforming action and turn-based RPG combat.
The game is the work of Far Cry 3 director Patrick Plourde, and will run on UbiArt - Ubisoft Montpellier's Rayman engine.
According to the developer, Child of Light is a JRPG tribute that focuses on a young princess named Aurora, who is trapped in a waking dream.
Along with a mystical blue orb companion called Igniculus (who can be controlled by a second player), Aurora must discover what has corrupted the land of Lemuria and transformed its inhabitants into crows.
Child of Light has been priced at US$19.95 (NZ$24), with local pricing still to be confirmed.
