SimCity has received a patch that Maxis hopes will stamp out its traffic and pathfinding bugs.

Said bugs have been cited as one of the biggest issues with the game (the obvious stuff aside), and are responsible for endless loops of pedestrians at intersections, delivery vehicles not reaching their destinations, and unsolvable traffic congestion, among other problems.

According to Maxis, patch 1.7 fixes the congestion problems. It will also allow emergency vehicles to drive in empty lanes to get around traffic at intersections, as well as give them priority over regular traffic when leaving their garages, the developer stated.

In addition, the patch permits all units and buildings to be demolished using the bulldoze tool.

Maxis recently announced that SimCity had broken records on its way to selling more than a million copies since its launch two weeks ago.
