Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters in-game trailer

Natural Disasters will add a series of city-destroying emergencies to Cities: Skylines, which can occur unexpectedly during the game – or be manually triggered by mayors seeking a challenge or who just really dislike their citizens.

Buildings and infrastructure will suffer untold destruction unless cities include the right emergency countermeasures, and players will have to act fast to keep things running as fire and flood sweep through town. In addition, a new Scenario Mode allows for custom challenges to be designed and shared through Steam Workshop.

Cities: Skylines – Stadiums Content Pack release trailer

“Stadiums: European Club Pack.” Cities: Skylines, the award-winning city-building game from developer Colossal Order, was updated this summer with the ability for players to add sports arenas to their growing digital demesnes. Now, with the European Club Pack, those stadiums can play host to players’ favorite real-life football clubs, taking on the appearance of their home stadiums from the real world. The European Club Pack includes the stadiums, colors, and logos of Football Club Barcelona, Chelsea Football Club, Juventus Football Club, and Paris Saint-Germain, and is available today for $5.99.

The European Club Pack works in concert with the free “Match Day” expansion which was released for free in June 2016, which allows players to build massive sports venues into their cities and reap added revenue while handling the new challenges of game-day traffic. Now, in-game crowds can flock to see their favorite football clubs in action and enjoy a day at the arena in style.

Natural Disasters will add a series of city-destroying emergencies to Cities: Skylines, which can occur unexpectedly during the game – or be manually triggered by mayors seeking a challenge or some sort of gruesome, vindictive pleasure. Buildings and infrastructure will be destroyed, fire can spread across locations, and countless lives may be lost unless players implement the right emergency plans and responses and keep an ear on the new radio alert system. Fans of Cities: Skylines will have the chance to overcome everything from massive fires to meteor strikes, and allow their friends to do the same with a new Scenario Mode, where custom challenges can be designed and shared through Steam Workshop.

Cities: Skylines is about to get more chaotic with a newly-announced expansion pack.

Take the tram downtown in the second expansion of Cities: Skylines - Snowfall.

The expansion will allow mayor-players to expand and grow their cities using new transportation options while challenging them to meet citizens’ needs using several new in-game tools. All of these new inclusions will revolve around the expansion’s central feature: an in-game weather system.

In Snowfall, the difficulty heats up when the city cools down, thanks to a new in-game temperature reading that will have residents bundling up for warmth when the weather outside is frightful. Cosmetic weather, composed of rain and fog, will be added to Cities: Skylines as part of a free update, along with other features to be announced soon.
