Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is getting a remaster, according to COD enthusiast site Charlie Intel.

The site first spotted mention of the remaster via Snapchat, where someone had posted a pre-order card for the Legacy Edition of what's rumoured to be this year's entry in the series, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

According to the card, the game’s Legacy Edition “also includes Modern Warfare Remastered".

Call of Duty 4 gets v1.7 patch

A new patch has been released for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on PC, taking it up to version 1.7.

The patch fixes an exploit that allowed players to access certain console variables during multiplayer matches. It also fixes a crash that could occur when a Chinatown Sabotage match would go into over-time.

Call of Duty 4: 1.6 patch released

Activision have released the latest patch for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, upgrading the game to version 1.6.

The patch features the new maps Creek, Chinatown, Broadcast, and Killhouse, as well as hardcore and oldschool server browser filters. There is a fix for a Denial of Service attack, and of course it includes all the changes up to patch 1.5.
