Fallout 3 patched

Bethesda have issued a new patch for Fallout 3, bringing this post-apocalyptic title to version 1.6.

The only changes of note appear to be the inclusion of new achievements for the Point Lookout DLC. You can download this 1.6 update from GP Downloads (50MB).

cool - last update caused heaps of issues - completley refused to alt tab and stayed active when you exited the game refusing to let go of the 800mb of ram it stole

What happened to the Fallout 3 forums? Anywho, is anyone running FO3 using the 1.6 patch.

I'm still using the Fake Patch and UF3P. Am reluctant to go the official patch route if they are still unstable, and cause more problems than they fix...

v1.6 is perfectly fine. v1.5 had major problems with mod compatibility but they were all fixed in v1.6.

Patch all of your mods with FO3Edit in masterupdate mode though for increased stability.

Yeah, I've been using masterupdate for a while now.

Might install FO3 on my Vista partition, update with official patches, and get some official DLC going on
