“We’ve always seen the original world of Fallout 3 as a foundation for even more content. Some created by us, and a lot more created by users,” said Todd Howard, game director for Fallout 3. “It’s fun to create your own character, but it can be equally fun to create your own adventures. We can’t wait to see what the community does with the G.E.C.K.”

Fallout 3 has captured audiences worldwide with its dark humour, compelling storyline and stunning visuals. The game features one of the most realized game worlds ever created. Set more than 200 years following a nuclear war, you can create any kind of character you want and explore the open wastes of Washington, D.C however you choose. Every minute is a fight for survival as you encounter Super Mutants, Ghouls, Raiders, and other dangers of the Wasteland.
In recent weeks there's been significant uproar amongst PC gamers about a current flavour of DRM on recent key titles, such as Spore and Crysis Warhead, where the customer is only given a finite number of activations per copy. Naturally there were concerns of whether or not other eagerly-awaited titles would carry similar DRM implementations, such as Bethesda Softworks' Fallout 3.
PC fans waiting for Fallout 3 can breath a sign of relief. In a recent interview with Shacknews, Peter Hines, Bethesda's Vice President of Public Relations, was asked about which kind of copy protection Fallout 3 would carry;
