The graphics of the Wii U version of Darksiders 2 “are at least as good” as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions', say developer Vigil.

Few details regarding the Wii U’s specifications and orders from Nintendo to developers not to discuss the console have led to speculation that the machine was underpowered.

However, with a full E3 reveal only about a week away Vigil has insisted that Wii U owners will see visual parity when it comes to multiplatform games.

 

The release of biblical hack’n’slasher Darksiders 2 has been pushed into August.

THQ confirmed the news this morning after weeks of speculation that the release date could be moved.

On the game’s official forum, THQ cites time for additional polish and bug fixing as the reasons for the slip.
