Electronic Arts have released a new patch for Red Alert 3, bringing this RTS to version 1.07.

This patch addresses an emergency technical situation which prevented all Steam users of Red Alert 3 from properly loading maps in Worldbuilder.

Expected balance and gameplay changes have been pushed out to the next patch. You can get v1.07 from GP Downloads (156MB).

Electronic Arts have released the v1.04 patch for Red Alert 3, and we've mirrored this over at GP Downloads (53MB).

This patch improves the reporting of online games to the ladder and player's stats. It also changes player names in online lobbies to be listed alphabetically.

The wait is almost over. The return to the over-the-top, time-altered universe of Red Alert – where parachuting armoured bears, George Takei, war dolphins and psionic Japanese school girls can co-exist without question – is almost here!

EA Los Angeles is announcing today that Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 has gone gold for the PC and will ship to retail stores in North America on October 28th, and will be released in New Zealand on November 14th.

Red Alert 3 brings back everything fans enjoy about the series, from the fast, fluid and fun gameplay, to the humorous tone and distinct art style, while adding new innovations for the entire genre including three separate campaigns designed for fully co-operative play and an unprecedented emphasis on naval gameplay. Simmons, Peter Stormare, George Takei and more.

Electronic Arts have released a new "remix" trailer for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, their upcoming RTS title due to be released for the PC and Xbox 360 platforms.

In Red Alert 3, the desperate leadership of a doomed Soviet Union travels back in time to change history and restore the glory of Mother Russia. The time travel mission goes awry, creating an alternate timeline where technology has followed an entirely different evolution, a new superpower has been thrust on to the world stage, and World War III is raging.

Red Alert 3 is nearly upon the gaming world. I’ve had a few days to play with the latest beta build, so time for show and tell!

The beta version for this preview was just for multiplayer. Some single player campaign action would have been nice as I was a big fan of the original Red Alert storyline, but you get what you are given when it comes to beta testing.

I’ll assume that you're familiar with the RTS genre, and somewhat familiar with Red Alert and the Command and Conquer series. Red Alert 3 is the latest in the ongoing saga between the Russians and Allies. However this time around there is also a new party in the mix, a Japanese faction called the Rising Sun. I was half expecting anime and tentacle nookie but it appears the new faction is pretty much a mech and tech bunch. As this beta is multiplayer only, there isn’t a lot of background on the Japanese faction or how they will fit into the story, other than that they are likely to be unlockable after playing the Russian and Allied campaign.

Electronic Arts have released the latest round of screenshots for Red Alert 3, which may be released towards the end of the year.

Red Alert 3 features a fully co-operative campaign mode where the player can team up with another player, or one of several AI characters such as Major Giles, a stiff upper lip British commander, to complete the campaign.
