Stephen Coorey has won the New Zealand FIFA Interactive World Cup Qualifier Event to secure his place in the FIFA Interactive World Cup Grand Final 2009.

Played in front of a huge audience in the Aotea Centre, the final was a Trans-Tasman showdown pitting the skills of Australian, Stephen Coorey, against those of local Auckland boy, Alistair Wallace.

Playing as Barcelona, Alistair kicked off with an intimidating goal in the first minute. Stephen, playing as Brazil, answered a mere three minutes later with a decisive goal. The fierce start set the pace for a goal-rich game, with each player answering goal for goal until Stephen scored the winner in the 80th minute, ending the game 4-3.
