A free demo for all-star fighting game Super Smash Bros. will soon be available on 2DS and 3DS, but it can only be played 30 times in total.
The demo launches on September 20, and will be available from the Nintendo eShop.
However, some Club Nintendo members will get early access to an unrestricted version of the demo via an email that Nintendo is sending out today.
Each of these emails will contain four download codes.
Both versions of the demo feature five playable characters (Mario, Villager, Link, Pikachu, and Mega Man), one stage (Battlefield), and the ability to compete in local multiplayer matches with fellow Nintendo 3DS and 2DS owners who have downloaded the demo to their systems.
“Nintendo encourages recipients to share their codes, as up to three other friends who also own Nintendo 3DS or 2DS systems can play multiplayer together through local wireless even if those three friends aren’t Club Nintendo members,” said Nintendo, speaking in third-person like some weird detached psychopath or reality show star.
Super Smash Bros. launches for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS on October 4.
