Resident Evil: Revelations is coming to consoles and PC this May, Capcom has confirmed.

The 3DS game was perhaps the lone bright spot for the Resident Evil franchise last year.

Its console and PC versions will come complete with enhanced lighting effects, immersive sound, and high quality HD visuals, said Capcom.

The new version will also contain a new enemy, an extra difficulty mode, and improvements to Raid Mode such as new weapons, new skill sets, and the opportunity to play as Hunk and other characters from the series.

Gameplanet’s Chris Leggett called the 3DS version “a damn fine demonstration of what the 3DS is capable of”, and “the best action game currently available on the handheld”.

Revelations will be out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Windows PC, and Wii U on May 24.
